Imposing Family Home in the Dominican Republic

This Residence is located in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The 5,380 square foot single family home was based on an interesting concept: “The story behind the name “Aun siento” which represents this residence, is one that’s born from a family experience between the architect and his brother, and the passion that they both share for Fito Paez’s music”. The exterior appearance of the home is imposing, due to the mix of materials employed and the strong color contrasts. The project opens up towards the inner courtyard and swimming pool with the help of large windows, but it remains closed on the side facing the street. Nature is allowed indoors, where a potential guests is likely to be impressed by the spectacular “green” decors. The interiors are spacious and minimalist, characterized by an intriguing material diversity.
